Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

This verse tells us why we’re spiritually thirsty and hungry, and living in a state of negativity and weakness, and why the church is desolate. It is because we don’t seek the words and work of God, much less do we listen to His words. As a result, we have lost the provisions of God’s words and are suffering a famine. It’s just like the end of the Age of Law, when the temple became desolate. It was because God had departed from the temple and the Lord Jesus had expressed words and launched the work of redemption outside the temple.
